Majlis Tahlil at Pondok Tahfiz...

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.. unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear..."

(The tahfiz students)

Today is the seventh day of Shah’s passing.

We had arranged for a simple Majlis Tahlil at Pondok Tahfiz Umbai. Lead by Ustaz Saufi, with more than 100 students we recited the yaasin and doa for those who have left us.

My Health Screening...

"He who has health, has hope. And he who has hope has everything..." - Arabian Proverb

(The Heart Center Pantai Hospital)

My annual medical check-up was long overdue.

Last week I made myself available for the executive health screening and did all the necessary tests. This morning I had an appointment with the Heart Specialist and collected the results. It was quite a surprise that the results were almost the same, if not better, compared to last year. Except for my erratic blood pressure, everything else remains the same.

And my doctor has prescribed a different medication for my hypo-tension.

A Final Call...

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal..."

(Hubby and Shah)

Innalillah…

Hubby eldest brother passed away in his sleep early this morning.

Shah was the eldest of eight siblings and only a year older than hubby. Two years ago Shah was diagnosed with a weak heart when he was hospitalized for a minor stroke.

I have known Shah since campus days, even before hubby and I were married. He was more of a friend than a brother-in-law, a very nice person, modest and humble. I know he will be missed by many.

Al-fatihah…

(Tanah perkuburan Bukit Kiara)

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay…

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow…

And when the journey finally ends,
We’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord…

Lunch treat for the Kembara gang...

"There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder, smile a little wider and live just a little bit better..."

(A spread of delicious, home-cooked food)

This afternoon the Kembara gang was invited for lunch at Bro Fayaz's residence in Semenyih.

We missed a turn in Kajang and were a little late to arrive. All of the kembara gang, some with families were there. Even Azhar and Illa rode in direct from Singapore and in time to join us.

To the host and hostess, thank you for the hospitality and a good meal. We had a wonderful time meeting up again with the gang and tasting home-cooked dishes. We were full to the brim when we left for home.

(Having a second and third helpings)
(Lighter moments recollecting and planning for another ride)
(Mouth-watering cakes and sweets for dessert)

P.s. Pictures courtesy of the bikers' gang.
P.s. Bro Fayaz passed away on 18 August 2021 because of a heart attack. Innalillah...

New Year Get Together...

"Some people will better your life by being in it, while others will better it by staying out..."

(Good friends are priceless)

We celebrated the new year with a gathering of the veterinarian gang at a chalet in the wood in Ulu Langat.

The gathering was hosted by Dr. Razak and wife, Rudi. Besides celebrating the New Year, it was a house warming and anniversary celebration for them. The gathering was pot-luck style and there was abundance of food for everyone.

It was a happy joyous occasion. We had a good time catching-up with latest news. Even though we were having a good time, we couldn't help but reminisced our younger years and how much we missed the old times we spent together.

As we grow up, we realize it is less important to have lots of friends, and more important to have real ones.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Thank You Allah,..
for the beautiful moments,
treasured memories
and all the blessing
for the good health,
abundance of wealth
and the peace of mind...

Aamin...
