There used to be graffiti arts at the bus stop Jalan Tukang in Kajang.

The last time we drove through Jalan Tukang, the iconic old buildings are being repainted. The only graffiti arts we found were at one of the back alleys.

Chaiwalla Restaurant, a chick eatery in Banting, Selangor

When we passed the small town of Banting we began to look for a good restaurant to have our lunch. 

Chaiwalla Restaurant at Pusat Perdagangan Jalan Cemerlang 4 is quite a decent place to hang out and have your meals. The eatery is quite cozy and there are varieties of dishes to choose from. We ordered steak and grilled fish for our lunch. The price is also quite reasonable.

The location was easily accessible from the main road and with plenty of parking space.

Tasik Biru Kundang...

As it is still prohibited for inter-state border crossing, we spent the weekend driving around within the state of Selangor.

Our first destination is Tasik Biru located about 25 km to the north from Kuala Lumpur. It is accessible from the old trunk road from Sungai Buluh to Kuala Selangor or via LATAR highway Exit 2505 to Jalan Kundang, which is about 2 km from the lake.

Tasik Biru is a recreational lake located at Kampung Melayu Sri Kundang a village near to Sungai Buloh. It is an ex-mining lake that used to be developed long time ago during the British colonial time. During its olden days, the lake was used to be the biggest mining area in Rawang district, and one of the biggest in Selangor as well. After the colonial time, Tasik Biru is set to be a water sports and recreation centre for the local and foreign tourists. The area surrounding the lake, encompassing about 80 acres and has been upgraded with a recreation area and a jogging track around the lake.

Tasik Biru  is said to have the name due to its blueish colour that caused by the depth of the lake. At times the colour is greenish as well. The lake has an island in the middle of the lake. For the local folks, there is a story saying that the island is floating by itself. Most of the people believe it is just a mystic.

Tasik Biru is also a well-known recreational area among locals and tourists, especially those who love jet-skiing, picnicking and canoeing. The lake is famous for film and photo shooting site. It is also a popular weekend hangout from people from surrounding area, with families coming for picnic and fishing.

After visiting Dorami Bayu Resort at Sungai Besar, we drove around town to look for restaurants for lunch. Unfortunately most were still closed except for McDonalds and KFC and only for take-aways.

Although it was already late, we decided to try our luck and drove to Restoran Selera Rimba in Sungai Panjang. The restaurant was opened but only limited dishes were available, good enough for the two of us.
