Melaka - Family gathering at Kampung Serkam Pantai...
"Ya Allah! Forgive me and my parents. Bestow Your mercy on them as they took care of me when I was young..."
(Offering some prayers for those who left earlier) |
A few years ago, we had inherited some lands and properties from our deceased parents.
The lawyer had fixed a date for all the siblings to be at Pejabat Tanah Melaka to conclude and sign some legal documents. Earlier, the siblings unanimously agreed to let my youngest sister Sufiah and family to stay in my late parents house. Not to complicate matters, the rest of the inheritance will be divided according to Faraid.
My eldest brother, Abang Nor and wife drove from KL. My other brother, Ngah Aman and wife flew from KB to KL. We fetched Ngah and Kak Idah from Subang Airport and drove in one car to Melaka. My sister Zai and hubby came from Muar. It has been a long time since the siblings get together like this. It was good to enjoy home-cooked meals while reminiscing good old stories.
In the afternoon, we visited our parents graves and cleared some weeds. After Maghrib prayers we had a simple majlis tahlil arwah at the mosque.
