Ride to the holy lands 2016...

"Those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it..."

(The gang planning for a long distance ride)

Tonight a few of the bikers gang met at Laman Santai for dinner.

It was also our first meeting to discuss on our plan for a long distance ride in 2016. It takes a detailed planning to organize a road trip like this. It is not only a test of endurance to the rider and pillion but also to the bike. And for this road trip, it will cost us quite a substantial amount too.

I already feel exhausted listening to their deep discussion...

Harvest from my kebun...

"You aren't wealthy until you have something money can't buy..."

(Rambutan and dokong from our dusun)

This year the harvest from our fruit orchard is bountiful...

During the month of Ramadhan we have been collecting basketfull of durians from our kebun and have been distributing them to family and friends. The season for durian is coming to its end but we have the dokong and rambutan fruits starting to ripe on the trees.

After the busy Raya festivities, we will need to start harvesting the dokong and rambutan fruits. If not, the squirrels will have a great time feasting...

Salam Eidil-Fitri...

(2nd Hari Raya @ my besan's house)

We all at certain times in our lives find ourselves heart broken and full of sadness after the passing of our loved ones. And we need to find our strength to pick up the pieces.

It's been less than a week since. On Hari Raya, relatives and friends came to visit my ailing emak and wished condolences. My sisters cooked ketupat, rendang and cakes with the help of our nieces and nephews.

This year we celebrated Hari Raya without our Abah, with sadness in our hearts.

Seeking for a miracle on Laylat-ad-qadar...

“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure..."

(Final day with my beloved Abah)

Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilayhi-rajioon

It was 11.45 pm on the 25th of Ramadhan.

My dear Abah died peacefully in his sleep in Hospital Besar Melaka at the age of 88. He was hospitalized for three days after complaining of short of breath. My Abah will be dearly missed. May Allah has mercy on him and placed him in Jannah al-Firdaus.

Al-fatihah.

Brand new spare tyre...

"If you do not enjoy what you are doing, you will never be good at it..." - Luke Parker

(Getting a helping hand from PLUS)

We were unfortunate to have a flat tyre while driving along the Seremban Highway. But we were fortunate to have a few officers of PLUS Ronda to assist hubby to fix the flat and divert on-coming traffic.

(Easy to fix a flat with correct tools)

Iftar at Laman Santai...

"Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness..."

(Laman Santai Restaurant at the TTDI Grove)

When someone requested to use our pick-up to collect and deliver durian fruits for a Majlis Berbuka Puasa, hubby willingly obliged and volunteered to drive.

So early afternoon we drove to Rembau and collected baskets full of durian fruits and delivered them to Laman Santai Restaurant in Kajang. Laman Santai is owned by Haji Taha, one of our biker gang. Tonight Versys Owner Group was having an iftar gathering for its members. After the breaking of fast members joined together in solat terawih berjemaah and later had kenduri durian for moreh.

The gathering was attended by more than 150 bikers and the food spread was delicious.

Durian home deliveries...

"You can't fall if you don't climb, but there's no joy in living your whole life on the ground..."

(Durian fruit from our kebun)

I offered my friends some durian fruits from my kebun.

Last two days the harvest was plentiful and we brought back a full-load of durian fruits in our pick-up. The same night we did home deliveries to Damansara Height and Kampung Tunku. The next day, we made  delivery to Klang, Shah Alam, Kota Warisan and Kajang and clear all of our harvest.

Our dokong and rambutan fruits are ripening fast too. Hopefully the harvest will be as bountiful as the durians.
