About Me

My photo
I am married to my loving husband for more than 40 years now. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, until years ago when I lost my youngest son. Since then my life is forever altered but yet unbroken....

I was sick again...

"Our health always seems much more valuable after we lose it..."

(Suspected dengue fever)

When my fever refused to recede after four days, I panicked. The increase in body temperature was sudden. I was having chills and my extremities felt cold. I was hard of breathing and my heart rate increased.

During the course of the fever my temperature went up and down. I lost my appetite, my throat was badly sore. In the middle of the night I had to endure nagging migraine that leave me weak and tired during the day. I didn’t go and see the doctor as I was in Melaka on nurse duty. Time passed rather slowly when you are agonizing over fever and fatigue.

On Thursday when it was time to drive back to KL, we messaged the kids telling them that we would not be fetching the three grandchildren from school. And we would not be having family dinner together.

I then see the urgency to see my doctor immediately…

"I was just another frog in a pot. The good news was that so far the temperature had only been turned up to medium. The bad was that the process wouldn't be stopping anytime soon.

The three true ages of man are youth, middle age, and how the fuck did I get old so soon?..."
