Follow-up visits to the doctors...

"To solve a difficult problem in medicine, don't study it directly, but rather pursue a curiosity about nature and the rest will follow..."

(At Pantai Hospital again)

This week I had two follow-up visits at Pantai Hospital. On 10 January 2023 the follow-up was with the Ophthalmologist. I had to fix a date for a cataract surgery for my left eye. My right eye surgery was done six months earlier in July 2023.

On 18 january 2023 the follow-up visit was to my Gynaecologist to check on my ovarian cyst. The cyst is still at the same position and size. The blood test for cancer tracker was negative. My next follow-up will be in July 2023.

Visiting sick relatives

"Sickness comes on horseback, but departs on foot..” - Dutch Proverb

(Visiting Ailyn at Hospital Melaka)

Early this week we received bad news from Zai that her daughter, Ailyn was diagnosed with leukemia and is right now warded for a month in Hospital Melaka for observation and treatment.

Today, on our way to JB we detoured to Melaka to visit my sister Amah who is undergoing a second round of chemo treatment for her breast cancer. From Amah's house we visited my sister Zai then later in the evening we went to visit Ailyn at Hospital Melaka. She is undergoing a chemo treatment and in high spirit.

Both Amah and Ailyn have strong will power and may they get well soonest.

(With our reliable Bigfoot on the highlands of Phu Chi Fa)

For our 2022 Year-end 4x4 trip we managed to cover some of the highlands of Thailand.

There are many mountains in Thailand which offer the most stunning and serene picturesque views. The highlands mountain ranges is the part of the hills extending from the Shan Hills bordering Myanmar to Laos, and the river valleys which cut through them.
