About Me

My photo
I am married to my loving husband for more than 40 years now. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children, until years ago when I lost my youngest son. Since then my life is forever altered but yet unbroken....

Frustrating moments...

"If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow..." - Chinese proverb

(Settling in deep frustration)

I'm not a naturally patient person.

When I'm angry and impatient, bad things happen. In fact, I've gone through life continuously moving from one frustrating moment to another. I'm improving my patience whenever I encounter setbacks in my life. And to pacify my inner frustrations, I kept on telling myself - just because I don't get what I want immediately doesn't mean I won't get it eventually.

How I wish for the younger years where my life was so carefree and free of worries. And I kept telling myself that getting angry and upset will do nothing to improve the situation.

Time changes, friendship remains...

“When people cared about each other, they always found a way to make it work...” - Nicholas Sparks

The reunion was a success.

The venue gave longtime friends a more relaxed setting to remember good times and catch up on years since. It was one group of people you can always be yourself around. It doesn’t matter what your status in life, you were still who you were in 74/78. There was a lot of hugging, kissing and reminiscing.

I met again with long lost friends. I was expecting potentially awkward and embarrassing moments but I was not at all surprised the past 30 years has a way of retaining familiar fervor and erasing bad memories between us...

(Many more not in the photo)

'Let us not forget the laughter we share,
forever like sisters or brothers we care.
You all will always be close friends to me,
and that's the way it should be...

Just a memory...

“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce...” - Karl Lagerfeld

(Kota Bharu 1973)

'Once there was a little girl
Used to wonder what she would be
Went out into the big wide world
Now she's just a memory

If this old neighborhood
survived us both alright
Don't know that it withstood
All the things that took our light

Here in the dust
There's not a trace of us
Everything is gone
But my heart is hanging on
