Missing our beloved...

"Sometimes it takes sadness to know happiness, noise to appreciate silence, and absence to value presence..."

(My emak and abah, side by side)
(My youngest son, Mirza Ashran)

There's really no shortcut
to forgetting someone
You just have to endure
missing them everyday
Until you don't anymore..

Severe Spinal Pain: Sympathy with the Devil...

"The answer lies within ourselves. If we can't find peace and happiness there, it's not going to come from the outside..." - Tenzin Palmo

(Visiting the Spine Specialist)

I was strong and healthy when I was in Madinah and Makkah. The weather was cool throughout our stay there.

The last day in Makkah and on the way to Jeddah Airport for our flight back to KL, we were hit by a bad sand storm. When we reached KLIA I started experiencing a very bad sore throat and started having dry cough. The last time I had cough and flu, it lasted for almost three weeks.

Besides the whooping cough, I had a bad lower back pain. After the MRI procedure, my Spine Specialist diagnosed nerves impingement at my 4th and 5th lumbar. I was asked to go for a round of physiotherapy and to do routine daily exercises. To ease the pain I was prescribed with nerve relaxant, pain killers, vitamins and hot gel rub.

After two days of consuming the loads of medications, I became nauseated with constant vomiting and purging. I was dead flat and miserable. After consulting my Doctor, he advised me to stop all medication immediately because of the severe counter-indications.

I am now back to square one...

Momento from India (2008)

“Sometimes you need to sit lonely on the floor in a quiet room in order to hear your own voice and not let it drown in the noise of others...” - Charlotte Eriksson

Indian Marble is popular for its beautiful textures, strength, and durability. Marble is considered to be a luxurious natural stone that never goes out of style.

Crochet Cushions Collections...

"Happiness is not the absence of problems. It's the ability to deal with them..."

I have started my crocheting again!

And within a month, to while away my free time, I had completed four cushions for my living room with the help of u-tube tutorials and free patterns from the web. Friends asked whether crocheting is therapeutic? Heck yes. I’ve found that it’s really good for the brain to work on something where you have to count stitches and focus.

It’s a proven scientific fact, just like we know chocolates are good for us. It is claimed that crocheting and knitting could cure everything from arthritis to weight problems. But I can’t speak for others.

It can certainly improve one’s mental health. I know it helps improve mine...
