Severe Spinal Pain: Sympathy with the Devil...

"The answer lies within ourselves. If we can't find peace and happiness there, it's not going to come from the outside..." - Tenzin Palmo

(Visiting the Spine Specialist)

I was strong and healthy when I was in Madinah and Makkah. The weather was cool throughout our stay there.

The last day in Makkah and on the way to Jeddah Airport for our flight back to KL, we were hit by a bad sand storm. When we reached KLIA I started experiencing a very bad sore throat and started having dry cough. The last time I had cough and flu, it lasted for almost three weeks.

Besides the whooping cough, I had a bad lower back pain. After the MRI procedure, my Spine Specialist diagnosed nerves impingement at my 4th and 5th lumbar. I was asked to go for a round of physiotherapy and to do routine daily exercises. To ease the pain I was prescribed with nerve relaxant, pain killers, vitamins and hot gel rub.

After two days of consuming the loads of medications, I became nauseated with constant vomiting and purging. I was dead flat and miserable. After consulting my Doctor, he advised me to stop all medication immediately because of the severe counter-indications.

I am now back to square one...
