Brisk Walk around Hospital Selayang...

Hospital Selayang is less than 10 minutes walk from our Bidara House.

Lately we have been doing our brisk walking around the hospital compound and a steep climb on the reserve road to the hospital water tank. Early in the morning the place is quite crowded with joggers. There will always be a group of old Chinese ladies either practicing their Tai-chi gracefully or dancing to the Zumba beat.

Hari Raya at Kak Sar house....

After much contemplation, a small group of sisters met up for brunch at Kak Sariah's house in Shah Alam. It was a chance to move away from the stressful city vibe and visit Kak Sar beautiful garden. you don’t have to be a skilled gardener to love her garden and appreciate her effort.

She had many different varieties of orchids in her garden. No flowers ever look better and beautiful than those you’ve grown with your own hands...

Not always eye to eye, but always heart to heart...

We seldom meet after my Emak and Abah passed away a few years back. But once or twice a year we make a point to have a get together during kenduri of Raya gathering.

This Raya gathering was held at my sister Zai's place in Muar.

There's nothing that quite describes a lazy afternoon than a mid-day high tea with a view of the green lawn and with the company of old friends. Those are friends you don’t need to talk to every single day. You don’t need to talk to for months, but when you do, it’s as if you’d never stopped talking. For a few hours, we argued and agreed at the same time.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere relaxing…
