"Life is like the ocean. It can be calm or still, and rough or rigid. But in the end it is always beautiful..."

Bagan Lalang Beach is also one of the closest beaches to
Kuala Lumpur, located about 25 minutes drive from KLIA. The whole stretch of
coastline is lined with mangrove trees and the many rivers which flow into the
sea here bring vegetation and natural sediments which get washed up on the
beach as a result the beaches tend to have a muddy appearance.

Somewhere along Bagan Lalang Beach is the impressive AVANI
Goldcoast Resort. It comprises luxurious sea villas which are built on stilts
extending out about a kilometer into the sea in the shape of a palm tree made
up of 8 fronds and a central trunk. This is Malaysia's equivalent to Dubai's
famous Palm Islands, though on a much smaller scale.

(The beach during low tide) |
When we were there, it was a weekday and almost deserted.
The beach was quite clean and covered with tiny crabs. The tide
was out and anyone wishing to swim would have to walk far to reach
the sea water. This place must be crowded on weekends looking at the parking area. There are a lot of restaurants lining the beach together with other amenities such as playgrounds, public washrooms and surau.
