Taiping Lake Gardens...

“Don’t allow your past or present condition to control you. It’s just a process that you’re going through to get you to the next level.” – T.D. Jakes

(Extra hot weather in Taiping)

Taiping Lake Gardens date back to 1884 and occupy about 60-plus hectare site. The lake was once Perak’s famous tin mines.

It is a very peaceful and scenic area for both walkers and joggers, and a perfect place to come and relax. Taiping Lake Gardens are better visited on foot to enjoy these beautiful grounds. The main part of lake is flanked by Pekeliling Street and is filled with magnificent rain trees, many older than 100 years, with long branches that extend all the way to the water.

The busiest times of the day are early mornings and late afternoons, when the temperature is cooler and joggers and visitors come here to enjoy the peace and quiet.

As the weather was extremely hot we drove around the lake and stopped for photo shots of some interesting places.
