MRT ride to Restoran Satay Kajang Hj Samuri

(Satay Kajang Hj Samuri)

Recently Prime Minister DS Ismail Sabri announced that all public transport services under RapidKL namely MRT, LRT, BRT, Monorail, RapidKL buses and Klang Valley KTM Komuter services will be free for one month starting 16 June 2022.

To take this opportunity, we decided to ride the MRT to Kajang to have lunch at Restoran Satay Samuri. We parked our car at KL Sentral and boarded the MRT Kajang Line from  the Museum Negara MRT Station.

The Muzium Negara underground station is located beneath Jalan Damansara in front of the Muzium Negara, which gave the station its name. Although located near Kuala Lumpur Sentral, it is not part of the complex so we have to walk quite a distance to the station.

(Claim free tickets at the ticket counter)
(Patiently waiting for the next train)
(Make sure of your routing)
(The train was not that crowded)
(A comfortable journey)

We disembarked at the last stop in Kajang but was told that the restaurant is at one station before. As it was already Zohor,we performed our prayers at the surau in the station before we board a train to the next station. The Restoran Sate Kajang Haji Samuri, situated next to the MRT station is the main outlet in Kajang. The restaurant is spacious and airy. There is the first floor dining area and also an air-conditioned area.

When we arrived, there was already a long queue, but the service was quite fast. It was worth the journey here as the satay and the groundnut gravy tasted awesomely good.

(A long queue and a large crowd)
(Fast efficient service)
(Less commuters on our way back to KL)
