Saudagar Nanas Agrofarm Sungai Merab

“Living an experience, a particular fate, is accepting it fully.” - Albert Camus

(Whole and cut pineapples on sale)

This morning we drove to Bangi to visit the Saudagar Nanas Agrofarm, a new viral attraction in Kampung Sungai Merab Luar. The pineapple farm is owned by a young entrepreneur named Encik Hardy who used to work as MD2 pineapple marketing officer at a well-known company in Serdang. With his experience, he cultivated varieties of pineapples on a 4.5 acres hilly land and transformed the farm into a tourist attraction.

When we arrived, it was still early in the morning. We parked our car at the foot of the hill and hiked uphill, sweating profusely as the weather was hot and humid. We stopped a few times on the way to the café to catch our breath as well as for some photo opportunities around the farm. The panoramic view from the top was beautiful.

There were already a large crowd, especially at the café which is situated on top of the hill. The dining area was crowded with people still waiting for their orders. Some visitors came as early as 6.30 am to have breakfast here. The cafe provides a variety of pineapple-based menus and other Malay and western dishes. Everything looks delicious on the menu but looking at the crowd, we gave up and left.
