Masjid Batu 6 Penjom is a mosque located in Kampung Penjom, Kuala Lipis. The mosque is a favourite stopover for travelers heading to Kelantan or Kuala Lumpur. It is strategically located next to the main road with ample parking space. The mosque is not too big and quite comfortable. A dining area is provided for those who want to have their meals. Across the road in front of the mosque is a graveyard.

Kampung Penjom has become famous after a ship's hull was found on the river bank after the floods receded in Kampung Penjom in January 2021. The ship was estimated to have been built in the 18th and 19th century. The ship was made of wood and copper, was most likely a British merchant ship, used by wealthy and influential people. The company was believed to have experienced a period of decline in the late 19th or early 20th century. In 1924, it merged with British Copper Manufacturers Limited which was later taken over by Yorkshire Imperial Metals in 1926.

Next to Kampung Penjom is Kampung Pagar Lama. It is said that Masjid Lama Kampung Pagar, a 200 years old mosque built around 1800 is located by Sungai Lipis in this village. This mosque, which was abandoned in 1971 after a major flood that caused residents to move to a new village. According to some articles, the old mosque structure is still strong with pillars, flooring and roofing still intact. Only parts of the walls remained. The old mosque is made of merbau wood using the peg method without nails.

The next time we come around this area we will try to locate this old mosque.

We drove out of kampung Pagar Lama and crossed Sungai Rengai to visit Masjid Rengai, another mosque around the area, a few kilometers from Kampung Penjom.
