Masjid Jamek Lama Kampar is situated at the end of Jalan Ampang. Jalan Ampang was named after a dam on the hill slope at end of the street. However, the dam has already been demolished. This road is the starting point to climb the Kampar Hill. After reaching the top the descent route will lead to the Kampar Waterfalls at Batu Berangkai.
