Bukit Jugra Lighthouses...

The Jugra lighthouses are situated on the summit of Bukit Jugra. One light house is a towering structure built in 1976 that rises 146 meters above sea level. Another shorter concrete tower was built next to it. Both towers were equipped with lighting systems to facilitate ship navigation in the Straits of Malacca. There is a seating area in front of the lighthouses from where visitors can enjoy a wonderful scenic view of the Langat River as it enters the Straits of Malacca.

Nowadays, Bukit Jugra is very much a popular venue. Its undulating terrain and scenic views make it an excellent spot for outdoor activities such as hiking and paragliding.

The area around Jugra Hill is surrounded by Permanent Reserved Forest. One of the best places to start hiking is from the entry point near Masjid Al-Muttaqin in Kampung Permatang Pasir. It takes 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the lighthouse at the top. The trail is easy to moderate and suitable for beginners.
