Masjid (Lama) al-Hidayah Ampang Pecah is about 3 km away from the town of Kuala Kubu Baru and situated alongside a river tributary. According to the story of the residents in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Ampang Pecah is named after the dam burst incident which has resulted in major floods. If the story is about this big flood, many people associate it with the myth of the white crocodile.

The tombstones are similar to tombstone carvings from Acheh. The year the mosque was built is encrypted on the tower of this mosque. The Mosque had been renovated and upgraded in line with its declaration as a National Heritage building.
